Editor's Commentary: Christmas can be a dark time for some who struggle with loneliness, grief, illness, depression, doubt, anger or frustration, etc. The nation of Israel, as well as mankind generally, suffered and continues to suffer the darkness of this world. Yet God promises a time when the light shall break through. The suffering shall end! We sometimes think or say, "If God would only show himself to me." God promises one day to do so, and has already begun the Revelation. Through his prophet Isaish, he proclaims,

"Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel, God with us.”

That's right, GOD WITH US! Jesus was born and lived in our midst and inaugurated the Kingdom of God on Earth. That's a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
